WHAT TO DO...

This is a great winter fun activity for the whole family.

The Snow Mom is a classic beauty, with a three-snowball body, charcoal briquette eyes, carrot nose, and an apple chunk mouth (secured with toothpicks). Sticks support her mittened hands. Her buttons are stones. A perky scarf completes her winter outfit.

.
Her snow child is formed from the bottom up, starting with snow pants stuffed with packed snow. His torso is a single elongated snowball smooshed into the snow at the waist of the stuffed pants, then joined to the back of his mother's head. The child is supported on his mother's shoulders by a stick brace. His boots are stuffed into his snow pants, and his mittens are held in position with snow. His snowy head is then formed, with a Conehead-like point to support his hat. As for his face, he's the spitting image of his mother.

AUNTIE MARGARET'S TIPS: On your next big snowfall, try this snow mom. Kids, get your parents to help. The snow child I built weighed about 50 pounds. I had to have Brad & Austin put it up for me.
