"Hi Gwenda, You've put a lot of drink recipes in the Metro. What is your favorite drink and could you include the recipe? -Mike"
Well Mike, thanks for asking. I truly enjoy the Pomegranate Martini. Its not too sweet and just tart enough to make your pallet stand up and take notice.
2 oz of a Lemon/Citrine flavored vodka
2 oz of Pom Pomegranate juice (Pom just tastes better than the others)
1 oz of Triple Sec or Contrue
1 oz of Sweet and sour mix, or tart lemonade
Shake the contents and strain into a martini glass. For the girls, or those who like sweeter drinks, take a lime wedge and go around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim in sugar. As with any martini, you can turn it into a cocktail just by pouring it into a tumbler/rocks glass and adding ice and a straw.
1 oz Wild Turkey bourbon
3/4 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 splash pineapple juice
Combine Wild Turkey, Amaretto, and Pineapple Juice with ice in a shaker tin. Shake and strain into a shot glass
Iced Wild Turkey Hill
2 oz Wild Turkey bourbon
10 oz Turkey Hill iced tea
Pour Wild Turkey whiskey over ice in a collins glass. Fill with Turkey Hill iced tea, stir and serve.
1 oz Wild Turkey bourbon
1 can Corona lager
Pour the Corona into a beer mug (or other favorite Hispanic Import) and then drop the wild turkey shot into it, and drink.
Drop the Hammer on the Turkey
1 oz Wild Turkey 101 bourbon whiskey
1 oz 151 proof rum
1 splash grenadine syrup
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into an old fashioned glass with or without ice cubes, and serve.
3 oz vodka
3 oz cranberry juice
Stir together in an old-fashioned/rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a lime.
1/2 oz Wild Turkey 101 bourbon
1/2 oz cinnamon schnapps
Pour Wild Turkey 101 into a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Hot Damn, shake well and strain into a shot glass.
1 oz Wild Turkey
1 oz sloe gin
1 oz apricot brandy
2 oz pineapple juice
3 oz 7-Up soda
Shake all ingredients (except 7-up) and strain into an ice-filled pina colada glass. Add 7-up, garnish with fruit slices, add straws and serve.
2 cups cranberry juice
2 cups 7-Up soda
1 cup Wild Turkey
Mix with a stirrer in a pitcher then pour over ice into glasses. A thanksgiving tradition for the truly dysfunctional family.
1/2 oz white sambuca
1/2 oz ouzo anise liqueur
1 oz Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Drink in one gulp. Amounts can be doubled for greater effect.
2 oz Wild Turkey bourbon whiskey
1/2 oz Drambuie Scotch whisky
1/4 oz Amaretto Di Saronno liqueur
Stir and strain into an old-fashioned glass three-quarters filled with broken ice. Add a slice of orange, and serve.
