DATELINE: LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

Last year, the pandemic put a damper on the annual McCarty trip to Las Vegas. Only Larry and Bob were able to make the regular trip, then Kelly, Brad, and Austin went a few weeks later. It has been announced that the 2022 McCarty Metro Las Vegas trip is on and has been scheduled for January 13-16. We will be staying in the Harrah's, Flamingo area again this year. It is always fun and a lot of laughs, so come on out and have a great time with the McCarty brothers.

RED SKELTON'S RECIPE
FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE

1. Two times a week we go to a nice restaurant, have a little beverage, good food and companionship.  She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays.
.
2. We sleep in separate beds. Hers is in California and mine is in Texas.
.
3. I take my wife everywhere, but she keeps finding her way back.
.
4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our anniversary.  "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested the kitchen.
.
5. We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.
.
6. She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric bread maker.  She said "There are too many gadgets, and no place to sit down!" So I bought her an electric chair.
.
7. My wife told me the car wasn't running well because there was water in the carburetor.  I asked where the car was. She told me, "In the lake."
.
8. She got a mud pack and looked great for two days. Then the mud fell off.
.
9. She ran after the garbage truck, yelling, "Am I too late for the garbage?" The driver said, "No, jump in!".
.
10. Remember: Marriage is the number one cause of divorce.
.
11. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was 'Always'.
.
12. I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months. I don't like to interrupt her.
.
13. The last fight was my fault though. My wife asked, "What's on the TV?"
I said, "Dust!".

Filling In Nail Holes With The Right Crayon

When you have to fill in nail holes, you should just grab a crayon in the same shade as the wall. You should rub it on the depression with force. It will probably feel like you are coloring the hole, so you might even think it is fun. Perhaps you will even wonder, “How did I not know about it earlier?”

Use Tape To Get A Perfect Caulk Edge

It is annoying when you can’t figure out how to make the ideal direct edge when you use caulk. If this is an issue for you, grab a painter’s tape. The trick here is to get rid of the tape when the caulk is still wet! Once it dries, it will not detach from the surface easily and leave a broken line. That’s all there is to it.

Dear Editor: I recently had to go to an Emergency Room for something stupid I did. One of your brothers told me about the time you swallowed a Crazy Ike toy when you were a kid and also had to go to the ER. Any other trips that you would like to share? -Joe

ED NOTE: Actually, I have been in the ER a couple. Once when I blew out my knee playing basketball, but that wasn't weird. More recently, I don't really want to get into the details, however, sufficed to say, the "Dyson Ball Cleaner" IS a very misleading product name.

ED NOTE: I appreciate you stopping by and would like to hear your questions, comments, or editorials.
