& HOME WEEKEND TRIPS
The weekend of
November 2, Kelly & Margaret took a trip to Nashville, Tennessee to
visit Larry, Gina, Sara, Robby, and Bobby. The Happy Hair crew showed
their northern guests a great time. Lunch at the Whiskey Kitchen, with
some "New" Old Fashions (good choice Steve). Dinner at the Southern Steak and
Oysters, and a fun walk in Downtown Nashville where the group visited
several bars, including a dueling piano bar. They also became judges at
a chili cookoff. Some of the other things Kelly & Margaret did was
take a boat ride in Opryland,
went to the American Pickers warehouse, and went to Murfreesboro to see
the newest McCarty member Bobby Brookfield. The trip was finished with a
nice lunch of Chicken Tetrazzini at Gina's. There was lots to see and do,
and they didn't even scratch the surface. It was a great weekend.

Larry, Gina
and Sara returned to Michigan two weeks later on the weekend of November 16 to visit Mom and
spend time with the Michigan clan. A very nice dinner at Andiamo's with
Steve, Kristen, Megan and Jenna started the weekend on Friday night. After
some time with Mom, the Clinton Township Mcs took their Tennessee visitors
to Frankenmuth, and met Mike and Karen there. It was a beautifully chilly night
and the town was lit up for Christmas. Horse drawn carriages were
everywhere, as the group made their way on foot around town taking in all
the holiday atmosphere, while visiting
several shops. The evening was culminated with a full Frankenmuth chicken
dinner with all the trimmings. It was a great way to get into the
Christmas spirit. A final visit with Mom on Sunday, and the trio was back on the
plane to Nashville.
