A Final Thought

Hurray... The warmer weather has finally come!!! With spring here, visions of golf, sitting out on our porch, barbeques, and going to the beach are dancing in my head. However, Margaret and I have decided that the most important thing to do first is to plant our garden. After reading an article and then really putting our minds to it, we decided to grow peas, squash, lettuce, turnips, and thyme. The directions I read for planting your garden is listed below.

I am looking forward to a successful DMGC this year. I hope to see you all there on the golf course June 7th to reminisce the life and times of Danny. He was a great guy, and I am so happy that his legacy lives on in helping such a worthy cause as the Lupus Alliance. A special thanks to Steve and Kristen, and Chuck and Francine for all the work they put in behind the scene to make this yearly event such a special time.

..

OK... Back to the garden. Here's how to plant it. First, you come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses....

FOR THE GARDEN, PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:
1. Peace of mind
2. Peace of heart
3. Peace of soul

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:
1. Squash gossip
2. Squash indifference
3. Squash grumbling
4. Squash selfishness

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:
1. Lettuce be faithful
2. Lettuce be kind
3. Lettuce be patient
4. Lettuce really love one another

NO GARDEN IS WITHOUT TURNIPS:
1. Turnip for meetings
2. Turnip for service
3. Turnip to help one another

TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE THYME:
1. Thyme for each other
2. Thyme for family
3. Thyme for friends

Water freely with patience and cultivate with love. There is much fruit in your garden because you reap what you sow. Not bad, huh? All my best and I'll see you all soon.
