The 4th of July celebration held at Steve, Kristen & Megans house was a huge success. Many dishes and desserts were passed around and due to popular demand, the Metro has agreed to print several of the more "popular" dishes (and some of the unpopular ones too).

Kristens' Ramen Noodle Coleslaw

1 pkg coleslaw
2 pkgs chicken flavor ramen noodles, crushed, flavor packets put aside for dressing
1 pkg slivered almonds, toasted

Mix above

Dressing:
1/4 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 tablespoons sugar
2 flavor packets

Put dressing on salad just before serving -- if you put it on too early it will get all soggy -- yuck.

Steve's Famous Burgers & Dogs

1 lb. hamburger
2 lbs. Lawrys Seasoning Salt

Mix meat with 1 lb. Lawrys. Cook on grill while continuing to heave on the other pound of salt

1 dog (stray if possible)
2 lbs. Lawrys Seasoning Salt

Same directions as above

Kristens' Peach Cobbler

Pre-heat oven to 350. This is for an 8 x 8 x 2 pan. If you want to make the 9 x 13 pan, then just double it.

While the oven is pre-heating, I melt a stick of butter in the pan.

Mix together:
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
(this should be the consistency of pancake batter) pour this over the top of the melted butter -- DO NOT MIX IT IN WITH THE BUTTER

Put one can of drained peaches on top of batter -- AGAIN DO NOT MIX IT IN WITH THE BATTER OR BUTTER.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Uncle Koko's Krazy Kookies

Directions: Go to Meijer (or other store in your area) and purchase 2 dozen of your favorite cookies. When arriving at the party house, slip into the kitchen and put cookies into microwave for 30 seconds. TO DIE FOR!!!
